Location

The farm lies a quarter of a mile from Whitchurch Canonicorum, a Conservation Area village with a pub - the Five Bells- and a 1,100 year old church with its original saint’s shrine intact. There are many interesting walks, most with spectacular views.

Becklands Farm is a delightfully quiet and beautiful place in which to spend a few days and is within easy and level walking distance of the sea (Charmouth 2.5 miles). Bridport  (flea market on Saturdays) is 7 miles and Lyme Regis (quaint shops and teas) 5 miles. Other places to visit in less than an hour’s drive include Exeter Cathedral, Forde Abbey, Chesil Beach and Dinosaur Land.

There are many country and seaside pubs and cafes nearby. The Riverside,  a nationally acclaimed seafood restaurant, some six miles away in West Bay  needs to be booked ahead during the summer.

Dogs and children are most welcome. Vegetarian or special diets can be provided with prior notice.
